BUSINESS VALUATIONS & EXIT PLANNING

Know what your business is worth. Then make it worth more.

We work with owners two to five years before an exit — because that's when the decisions that determine sale price actually get made.

Is this you?

  • —You've been thinking about selling but you have no idea what the business is actually worth.
  • —You're two to five years from retirement and you want to maximize what you walk away with.
  • —A buyer approached you and you don't know if the offer is fair.
  • —You own both the business and the building and you need someone who can handle both sides.

What we do

  • ·SDE and EBITDA normalization — the number buyers actually use to determine value
  • ·Operational de-risking: customer concentration, owner dependency, key-person exposure
  • ·Transferability assessment — what makes a buyer confident enough to close
  • ·Market positioning and confidential buyer outreach
  • ·Coordination with real estate sale if the building sells with the business

How it works

1

Valuation conversation

A 30-minute call about your business, your numbers, and your timeline. No pitch — just an honest read on where you stand.

2

Financial analysis

We normalize your earnings, identify the adjustments a buyer will make, and give you a defensible value range.

3

Readiness roadmap

If you're not ready to sell today, we tell you the three things that will move your number the most — and how long they take.

4

Go to market

When you're ready: confidential marketing, buyer qualification, negotiation, and close.

Common questions

How do you value a business?

We calculate your Seller's Discretionary Earnings or EBITDA, apply market multiples for your industry and size, and adjust for risk factors. You get a range, not a single number — because that's how buyers think.

What's the difference between you and a business broker?

Most brokers list and wait. We work with you before you're ready to list — fixing the things that suppress value so you sell for more when the time comes.

How long does it take to sell a business?

Six to twelve months from listing to close is typical for a main-street or lower-middle-market business. But the real work happens in the one to three years before that.

What if I also own the building?

That's Avion's specialty. Amy handles the business, Paul handles the real estate, and you get one coordinated process instead of two competing timelines.
